A Month of Gratitude

My favorite holiday of the year is Thanksgiving. It combines a few of my favorite things: time with loved ones, delicious home cooked food, and the opportunity to have meaningful conversation. I am often times the person who initiates everyone going around the Thanksgiving table and sharing what they are grateful for. Some of my friends and family lovingly make fun of me for this as they can expect me to eagerly ask everyone to share what they are grateful for.

This month of November, I am committing to a daily gratitude practice of journaling on 10 things I am grateful for everyday. In the past, I have found this practice of keeping a gratitude journal a powerful way to train my mind to notice and remember the little moments of joy, connection, and beauty throughout my day. I am excited to take on this gratitude practice this month and notice how it impacts my relationship to myself and the world.

This resource from PositivePsychology.com has some great gratitude journal prompts if you are wanting inspiration.

Have you ever kept a gratitude journal and what have you learned about yourself in the process? Would you like to join me in this gratitude practice for the month of November? Please feel free to share your experience in a comment below.

Thank you for being here and sharing!

P.S. Somehow my dog Bodhi always makes it into my daily gratitude journal and thus I featured a picture of him being a wild child :).
